The Center for Language and Cognition Groningen announces the following three positions in generative linguistics:

* a four-year postdoc position (1,0 fte). Provisional project title: “Ellipsis and fragmentation in afterthoughts and peripheral adverbial clauses”
* a four-year PhD position (1,0 fte). Provisional project title: “Reporting and comment clauses cross-linguistically, and the issue of discontinuous anaphora”
* a four-year PhD position (1,0 fte). Provisional project title: “Prosodic features of incomplete parentheses”.

All three positions are are part of a larger research project called “Incomplete Parenthesis”, funded by the European Research Council. The general program investigates the relation between ellipsis phenomena and parenthesis from a theoretical and cross-linguistic perspective. Each researcher will carry out his or her own sub-project, as well as contribute to the overall aims.
