We offer up to ten scholarships for undergraduate students for September entry.
The scholarships are open to prospective full-time undergraduate students in any subject area for each year of a three-year course (subject to satisfactory progress). Foundation degree students (first or second year entry) are also eligible for the scholarships. Who can apply?
You can apply for an award if you:
are an international student (classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes);
have an offer of a place on an undergraduate degree course or foundation degree course at Kingston for 2011 entry (first or second year entry); and
are not currently registered on an undergraduate course at Kingston University.
How are the scholarships awarded?
Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
academic merit;
what you expect to gain from the course you are taking; and
what you intend to do after completing the course.
How do I apply?
You can apply online now for scholarships for September 2011 entry. The deadline for September 2011 scholarship applications is 31 May 2011.
Please note that we cannot consider applications received after the deadline. Remember that the scholarships application procedure is separate from the admissions application procedure.

Scholarships are offered to students who are nationals of countries outwith the EU for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University. 20 scholarships are available for the 2011-2012 session with each award worth £2,000 per year. The scholarships are competitive and awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit.
They are awarded to students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for undergraduate study at the University of Edinburgh.

They are awarded to citizens from the following countries who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an undergraduate programme of study:

Master and Undergraduate Scholarship, Emile Boutmy Scholarship, France
Scholarship Overview Sciences Po created the Emile Boutmy scholarship after the founder of Sciences Po (1871) in order to attract the very best international students from outside of the European Union. The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to top students whose profiles match the admissions priorities of Sciences Po and individual course requirements.
The Financial Support Office administers a variety of scholarships and award schemes. Altogether 1M€ was awarded to non-european students in 2009 out of a total of 2.1M€.
Eligibility requirements
Eligible students are those from a non-European Union state, whose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Undergraduate or Master’s programme.
Students who are not eligible are:
Swiss and Norwegian applicants, since they may be entitled to CROUS scholarships
Candidates who have dual citizenship, including from a European Union state
Candidates from Quebec (since they may take advantage of sliding scale fees same as European applicants)
Dual-degree candidates
Third-year Ph.D. programme students (thesis)
MPA candidates, since they may apply for the MPA scholarship
The Emile Boutmy scholarship may not be supplemented with the Eiffel scholarship.
This scholarship is awarded based on factors of excellence and according to the type of profile sought for this programme. Social criteria are also taken into account.
This scholarship is not automatically awarded. A request for it must be made in the section designated for the purpose on the application form.
Undergraduate programme: Amount and length of the scholarship
The Emile Boutmy programme can take several different forms for students on the undergraduate programme. The length of the scholarship is always dependent on scholarship recipients’ academic results; they must be ranked within the top half of students within their year group.
1. A tuition grant of 7300€ per year for the three years of the undergraduate programme, in addition to a grant to cover part of the cost of living of €5000 per year.
Scholarship recipients will forfeit their right to the grant to cover living costs if their academic results are not with the top 50% of students within their year group at the end of the first year *.

If by this time, the students’ results have not improved and they are not in the upper half of students, they will forfeit their right to the scholarship as from the second semester of the second year.*
If scholarship recipients academic results’ place them within the top 10% of students in their year group at the end of their first year of students**, they will be eligible for a grant to cover living costs of €5000 for their second year of students; this will be in addition to the grant covering tuition fees.
4. A grant of €3000 per year to cover tuition fees for the three years of the undergraduate programme.
If the scholarship recipients’ academic results are not within the upper half of their year group at the end of the second semester of the first year, they will receive a warning notifying them that they must improve their results by the end of the first semester of the second year. If the student’s results have not impr oved by then and do not place him/her in the upper half of students, they will forfeit their right to the scholarship as from the second semester of the second year.*
If the scholarship recipient is within the top 10% of his year group at the end of the first year**, he/she is eligible for a tuition fees grant of €6000 per year (equivalent to an exemption of approximately 70% of tuition fees) as well as for a grant of €5000 to cover living costs for the second year of study. This comes in addition to the tuition fees grant. Only students having requested this grant will be considered.
During the year abroad (third year of the undergraduate programme): Scholarship recipients who are among the top 50% of students in their year group at the end of their second year will retain their tuition fee grant during their year abroad.
For those students awarded a grant to cover living costs in their second year, a grant to cover the costs of the stay abroad will be provided if deemed necessary and if the destination justifies.
* For example, in 2007-2009, the average mark required was 13.5/20.

AUS supports bright individuals with a keen interest in research for a Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering at the National University of Singapore, the Nanyang Technological University and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Upon graduation, scholars have the flexibility to pursue their PhD studies locally or abroad on A*STAR or other university scholarships. Continuing with PhD studies AUS scholars are required to embark on a PhD programme in Science or Engineering disciplines within eighteen (18) months of completion of their undergraduate studies. AUS scholars may apply to A*STAR PhD scholarships in their final year of undergraduate studies.

The Government of India offers, every year, 20 scholarship slots to meritorious students from Indonesia to pursue their higher studies in Indian universities and colleges. The scholarships are granted for studies at Undergraduate & Post-graduate levels and in research subjects under M.Phil. and Ph.D.
The scholarships are administered by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) under its General Cultural Scholarships Scheme (GCSS). Applications for scholarships under this scheme are invited in the month of November- December every year. These scholarships are also available for nationals of Timor Leste.
Applications need to be submitted to the Embassy of India in Jakarta only and not direct to ICCR or the concerned University.

ECU Excellence Scholarships are open to school leavers displaying outstanding academic excellence and endeavour. There are 12 scholarships available valued at $4000 for each full-time year (or pro rata) of a student’s undergraduate course at ECU. Scholarship Description:The Kellogg and Kroc Institutes announce a Research Grants Program for undergraduate students at Notre Dame. Receipt of funding for the second, third, and fourth years is contingent upon achieving a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a full normal course load at the University of Alberta each year.
Scholastic Distinction (Transfer Citations) for International Students Conditions: Awarded annually to postsecondary students transferring into an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta based on superior academic achievement (minimum award average of 95% or equivalent) in Grades 10, 11, and 12 and on coursework completed at the postsecondary level. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGSP) offers competitive scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral, and social science health-related research. The program offers:

The NIH UGSP will pay up to $20,000 per academic year in tuition, educational expenses, and reasonable living expenses to scholarship recipients. Scholarships are awarded for 1 year, and can be renewed up to 4 years.

For each full or partial scholarship year, you are committed to two NIH service obligations. The obligations themselves are benefits of the UGSP-providing you with invaluable research training and experience at the NIH.
1. 10-week Summer Laboratory Experience. After each year of scholarship support, you will train for 10 weeks as a paid summer research employee in an NIH research laboratory. This employment occurs after the receipt of the scholarship award. Each scholar will be assigned to an NIH researcher and an NIH postdoctoral fellow, who will serve as mentors. You will also attend formal seminars and participate in a variety of programs. 2. Employment at the NIH after Graduation. After graduation, you will continue your training as a full-time employee in an NIH research laboratory. You must serve 1 year of full-time employment for each year of scholarship.
