[France] - Awarded annually, the Scholarship Jean and Marie-Louise Dufresnoy allows a (e) student (e) U.S. (e) to continue in science, during an academic year, studies in France in his own discipline.
In the event that no candidate in a scientific discipline, this
scholarship may be attributed to (e) student (e) holds a Bachelor of Arts that is destined for a career in teaching or to a diplomatic career.
1. Terms of award
1. The candidate (s) must be U.S. citizens. He / she must already hold the Bachelor of Science or, where applicable, the Bachelor of Arts and to apply immediately after obtaining the degree.
The amount of the award is U.S. $ 15,000 paid in two installments (July and December). Exceptionally, the scholarship may be renewed for one year.
2. The candidate (s) must have a sufficient knowledge of French continue his studies at university level.
3. He / she must be compulsorily registered (e) in a French university for his stay.
2. Procedures
Each candidate must submit to the SPFFA a record containing (a) an individual letter in French stating the reasons why he / she wishes to continue studies at a French university, (b) an original transcript in two copies, the copies are not acceptable and (c) three etters of recommendation (which can be written in English). A certificate enrollment in French universities of their choice or a certified copy must achieve SPFFA before 1 July 2011.
